Research & Strategy: To understand Apkudo’s brand, audience, and industry, I began with in-depth research on the company’s mission and product set. I reviewed key materials, spoke to various internal teams, and analyzed internal and external communications to get a clear picture of their values and vision. I also studied the competitive landscape and trends in the connected device industry, identifying opportunities to differentiate Apkudo in the market. I used this information to build a brand strategy that would reflect Apkudo’s sophisticated, high-tech identity while resonating with their target audience.
Concept Development: I started by defining six key words to guide the visual identity: connected, futuristic, confident, simple, sophisticated, and transformative. From there, I sketched logos that conveyed these ideas, landing on a circular logomark with segments representing the device lifecycle—pre-use, in-use, and post-use—aligned with Apkudo’s mission to optimize it. The flowing “A” symbolizes movement, while the indigo color evokes intelligence and productivity.
I developed a minimalist color palette with black, white, and blue accents, using subtle gradients for a modern, tech-forward feel. Bold photography and sleek UI elements connect the physical and digital, reinforcing Apkudo’s position as an innovative, sophisticated leader in the mobile device industry.
